I have always and will always love, the Sainsbury’s cafeteria, the quality is consistently excellent and service is quick, not to mention cheaper than other alternatives. Highly recommended.
Lovely friendly staff always helpful ideal coffee stop off before shopping service a little slow but its not really a problem 😀
For a supermarket cafe, well above the average. 'Er Indoors and I went there at lunchtime, because of constraints of time. Admittedly, as previously reviewed, the counter service was a tad slow, but this is hardly the fault of the establishment, and more down to people who will have ridiculously complicated drinks orders, of the "One strong Earl Grey, one weak Earl Grey, a flat white but it must be fully skimmed milk, a cappuccino, but I insist on milk chocolate gratings, not plain, and I won't have Cadbury's for moral reasons. Oh, and I want sugar crystals, not granulated, and if the tea wasn't grown within 2 and three quarter miles of Trincomalee, please add a dash of peppermint essence, but only Indian will do." Once we'd got through that, I ordered two filter coffees (29 seconds), the fish and chips (only garden peas will suffice) and the Fat Ratbag's Breakfast, whatever it's proper title was. Milady tells me that the cod, chips and green stuff was excellent, but as for me! TWO rashers, TWO delicious bangers, TWO obviously very fresh fried eggs, TWO hash browns, TWO slices of toast, a massive mushroom that a dozen gnomes could have sheltered under before it was chopped down, half a fresh tomato and enough beans to power a schooner for a week. Really tasty, well presented, amusing waitress and I ate until I could move no more, (she had to wheel me out in a trolley). The Ritz-Carlton it ain't, but good, honest grub a very sensible prices, in a nice clean atmosphere it certainly was. Great for people without pretensions, even though it gets a few!!!
